WMTV is testing our new antenna and transmitter today, through prime time tonight (Wednesday 3/31). Signal reports appreciated.

Back to low power tomorrow so the tower crew can de-rig the tower.

Sorry I was not home today to test it out.   Will it be up tomorrow?

Sorry, none of my favorite prime-time network shows aired that night.  But I did see the 5, 6 and 10PM news, which looked great here at High Point and Watts.

Right now I'm seeing ~86 signal strength, with a good solid SNR of 27 dB.  RS uncorrected is <900 over a ten minute period.  That's a great improvement!

BTW, my antenna is a simple 6" loop lying horizontal on a shelf.

Hope this helps!

As of April 8th we are officially on the new antenna at the new high power level.  Our top-mount antenna is the first circularly polarized DTV antenna in the Madison market which should greatly help reception on indoor antennas.  Thanks for the signal reports.
