Charter has annonuced that it will offer Cinemax HD on channel 776, which will be carried on Charter's HD Tier. This should take place on January 1.

Charter also announced that is has reached an agreement with the FOX affiliate in Milwaukee, WITI, to pass through its HD signal to Charter customers in parts of Jefferson and Walworth counties. Of course, this does not help Charters HD customers in Dane county who remain unable to get Fox 47's HD signal because of the dispute with Sinclair Brodcasting.

I wonder how much longer this dispute with Sinclair will continue. We have missed two football seasons because of Sinclair's outdated view-points. I'm betting that next year at this time we will all still be complaining about Sinclair.

I don't think I am just mad at sinclair.  Charter is dragging their feet on this situation badly just as well.  I can see both sides point. . .but when i am paying 130 bucks for cable/internet, what REALLY is another 2 dollars if ALL the companies asked for 25 cents.  Unless cable co's make their receivers compatible with an OTA antenna, similar to satellite co's.  Both sides are to blame . . .and in the end it is just the CUSTOMER that gets screwed.

It appears that Charter has added another HD channel on 793. I believe that UniversalHD is a NBC channel. I wonder if Charter added this station to show more Olympic coverage.

Charter now has 13 HD channels. How much more space is available for HD? I am going to make a prediction. Sinclair will not settle it's feud with Charter until after Charter has run out of room for new HD channels. Will Charter have FoxHD any time soon? Not likely.
