Heres how I think it will go down. The CW's ratings will continue to drop and many shows will be canceled (BAD move getting rid of smackdown). To fill up space they will probably make movie nights (much like my Network). this will not help, MNT will pass them in the ratings (I really see potential for that channel). Then as they hit rock bottom someone will pull out (more than likely CBS). we will have a low rated new network and My Network will be in their old number 5 spot.

Locally I imagine 57 will try to swap with 3-2, if the CW folded all together than WBUW would snatch My and 3-2 would have a not that hard transition to independent (they already have plenty of great off network programs).

Thats what I believe will happen, anyone else?

you are right wbuw will have the better of the two.  It is possible the loser of the two will disappear like PAX did and then the ION network...

I would love a local station, in Madison or a state wide network that had its own shows like HD sports, movies, hd new, and reruns.  free over the air so there are no cable company issues.   Kind of like WGN9 or WTBS.
