Where: 5 miles NE of downtown Janesville, 5 miles south os Edgerton in a low wooded lot
Antenna: Indoor rabbit ears
Converter Box: Insignia NS-DXA1-APT

Madison Stations:
27 WKOW 85%-95% (unless windy signal then drops around 65%-75% with pixilation)
57 WBUW 80%-90% (weather conditions drop to 65%-75%)
47 WMSN 55%-65% (always at this strength no pixilation)
21 WHA-TV 55%-65% (slight pixilation at times, signal better at night)
3 WISC-TV 55%-90% (signal is better at night, during the day signal isnt watchable, lots of pixilation)
15 WMTV No signal-40%

Rockford Stations:
13 WREX No Signal-60% (This station came in 60%-70% but for the past month has been around 40%, usually unwatchable)
17 WTVO 30%-60% (Like WREX, signal worse now then last month)
23 WIFR 30%-60% (signal better at night then during the day but varies greatly)
39 WQRF No Signal (this station has never come in witch surprises me since they are the most powerful station in Madison or Rockford at 900kw)

WMTV is on channel 19 and can experience lots of interference from WGN, most likely cause in Janesville, there is a 19 in lacrosse and grand rapids, so depending on how the weather is WMTV is very instable if you are not in Madison or have a big antenna.
I would consider an attic antenna as it should pull in all the Rockford and Madison stations, and even after Feb 2009 when the airwaves calm down you still might not get perfect results with the rabbit ears.

Jsut a regular pair of rabbit ears, nothing special, not even a UHF loop.  It's connected to an indoor antenna amplifer.  Theyre both from radio shack and probably a good 10-15 years old.  I was quite surprised to get as much in and I do since everything I read says rabbit ears were not good enough to pick up signals.  I know people that live in Madison and cannot get the digital stations!

Your people in Madison must be doing something wrong then.  I live 12 miles away from the broadcast antenna's and pull in 16 over the air HD channels.  I use a simple set of rabbit ears as well.
